About Intermezzo Castle Bistro

Intermezzo Restaurant and Wine Cellar is excited to announce the opening of the Castle Bistro. The Intermezzo Restaurant and Wine Cellar has been open in Vernon since 1977 and we, Ellie and Glenn Yawney, have been the proud owners since 2007.

As our fellow local businesses know, the last two years have been difficult for our family and our staff we call family. During the pandemic we were closed for almost 3 months. We cannot thank the community enough for supporting us during these difficult times; we wouldn’t be here without you! We were offered an opportunity to get back what was lost during the pandemic with this second location. With hard work and the passion that we have at Intermezzo Restaurant and Wine Cellar, we cannot wait to share this new location with the community.

We have heard from our team that our restaurant has not been able to accommodate the community. We want to be able to welcome the full community and all of its visitors! We will be bringing in the local surrounds of Spalmacheen, foothills, Silver Star and Armstrong. It will be a great place to meet your family and friends and do what we love most – getting together around great food and great memories.

We must acknowledge our team built of 10 family members and our staff we call family that makes Intermezzo what it is. Our managers Lukas, Dustin, Celena and Paxton, our kitchen leads Mandy and Jackson, all our incredible staff, local artists, and local organizations. We are also looking forward to expanding our team and providing more jobs where they can come and show their gifts and talents under the mezzo team.

We will still have all the unique flavours that you know and love from the wine cellar with some new items to our menu! The Intermezzo Castle Bistro will be open five days a week. We cannot wait to see you!
